Historical Society hosting ArtsFest

The Olive Hill Historical Society will be hosting an ‘ArtsFest’ on Saturday, March 12 to showcase the work of local artists and performers. Art made by adults and youth in the ‘Connections’ project will be unveiled during the show.

Youth involved in the ‘Connections’ project have spent the last seven weeks meeting with adults in the community to learn about Olive Hill’s history and were tasked with their adult partners to create an art project that reflected some historic feature of Olive Hill. This is the first time their art work will be seen by the public.

Musical and dramatic performances will be also be featured during the event.

The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Olive Hill Center for Arts and Education, located at 120 Comet Drive in Olive Hill.

Artists interested in showcasing their work during the show could call Debbie Harman at (859) 583-1495 or email at dbharman@hotmail.com. Displaying art in the show is free.
