Sometimes a task seems too immense to tackle.  But, the old Olive Hill High School building falling into what some would consider irredeemable decay, tackle we did.  We now have a beautiful partially (we want to emphasize partially) completed facility in which to bring many events and happenings to Olive Hill that might not otherwise be possible.

There is still an immense amount of work to be done in realizing the dreams the community has for the facility. We are in need of a proper sound system, proper lighting, and for the other remaining 20,000 square feet of the building to be updated and converted into a permanent gallery, class and meeting rooms, and an office.

We have great members who give their own time and money to make what we are doing on the Hill happen.  We have shown what a community can truly do with inspiration, talent, and hard work.  We have had tremendous musical and theatrical performances.  We have recently begun to develop a program for visual arts with classes and future exhibits planned.  Plans are underway to use a portion of the building as a preservation area for the history or our area and its families.

We have recently designed brochures, a newsletter, and this website.

What we ask of you is to join with us.  Give the Olive Hill Historical Society, a society that includes not only its members, but also the community as a whole, donations to help us complete and continue the dream.  Offer us your inspiration, your talent, and hard work.   No inspiration, talent or work is too small.  We are all in this together.  We will go as far as our imagination takes us.
